South Western Hotel is a wonderful old Georgian Coaching Inn situated in a quintessential English village in the heart of rural Wiltshire and serving some of the best food in the West Country.
The South Western was one of two hotels built following the construction of the London and South Western Railway through Tisbury in 1859. The South Western was built in 1884 to provide accommodation and stabling for travellers using the line and was particularly helpful to Shaftesbury people. We are situated next to the Tisbury main line train station from Waterloo to Exeter. There or five luxury boutique on-suite bedrooms with wifi, freeview televisions, and tea & coffee facilities.
We offer an extensive food menu seven days a week, from breakfast in the morning, to lunches & evening dinner with a traditional carvery every Sunday from 12.30pm til 8 pm.
There is live sport ( live Premiership football any game ) every Saturday & Sundays on our plasma screen. Also the addition with free Wifi
A great selection of draught beers, ales & ciders, from Carlsberg, Tuborg, Stella, Doombar, Youngs, Thatchers, Natch,, Blackthorn. Coffee & Tea supplied by Miles of Porlock in Somerset. A great beer garden for the summer which holds BBQs every Saturday & Sunday.
There is also a function room with free hire which will hold up to 50 people for small parties, meetings & weddings.
